Top 5 Questions:

What is the exact, final cost to become an Accelerator, including HST?
The total one-time contribution to become a BIGShift Accelerator is $3,750.47. This consists of a base contribution of $3,319.00 plus $431.47 in Harmonized Sales Tax (HST at 13%). This single contribution is all that is required to activate your Accelerator status and begin the process of receiving your rewards and benefits.

How does the $6,000 rewards program actually work? How is it 'guaranteed'?
The program operates through the BIGShift App. Your account is designated to receive $6,000 in rewards, which you can redeem at participating businesses for products and services. The guarantee is operational: the cash that backs the rewards is generated from profits of businesses operated by BIGShift Canada. To ensure security, your rewards are only activated after we deposit the full cash equivalent into a special, segregated account. Based on conservative projections, we expect to award the full $6,000 to each Accelerator within 12 months, on a "first-in, first-received" basis.

Let's talk about "Neighbourhood Exclusivity." How is a "neighbourhood" defined? How do I know no other business in my category will be an Accelerator in my area?
We are mapping Canada into 3,960 'Neighbourhoods' of approx. 3,300 households each, using Canada Post data. BIGShift Canada guarantees we will only accept one Accelerator per defined business category within each Neighbourhood. Once a Neighbourhood is claimed by an Accelerator in a certain category, it is "off the board" for all others in that category. Neighbourhoods are selected on a sequential, "first-in, first-pick" basis.

How do I access the zero-fee funds for my own portfolio?
Access is a professional, managed process. As part of onboarding, you'll have a consultation with one of our licensed advisors, who will provide the fund's Prospectus. They will guide you through opening a self-directed account where all assets are held by a licensed third-party Custodian. You can then contribute up to your $400,000 maximum at your own pace. Once set up, you can monitor your account directly through the BIGShift App.

The plan to pay off the national debt sounds incredibly ambitious. What are the main assumptions in this model?
It is an ambitious, multi-stage plan. The sequence is: 1) Ultra-Efficient Foundation: We finish a child's retirement investing by their 3rd birthday at a 96% lower cost. 2) Economic Growth: "BIGShift kids" grow up with more disposable income, boosting the economy and tax revenues. 3. Repurposing CPP: Their future CPP contributions can be repurposed for debt reduction. 4. Tackling the Government's Two Largest Expenses: As this generation retires, their need for OAS is phased out (the #1 expense), freeing up funds to pay down the national debt and eliminate its interest payments (the #2 expense).
Frequently asked questions
The Job Itself (What Do I Actually Do?)
The District President (DP), Senior Vice President (SVP), and Area Vice President (AVP) roles represent the top 393 part-time leadership positions at BIGShift Media. The CEO of BIGShift Canada will personally coach the three DPs. The main differences between the roles are the scope of responsibility and the team you will lead.
District President (DP): 3 positions total. Each DP will lead one of three Districts (Ontario, Canada West, or Canada East), containing 1,320 Neighbourhoods each, and will manage a team of 10 Senior Vice Presidents (SVPs).
Senior Vice President (SVP): 30 positions total. Each SVP will oversee a region of 132 Neighbourhoods and lead a team of 12 Area Vice Presidents (AVPs).
Area Vice President (AVP): 360 positions total. Each AVP will oversee a local territory of 11 Neighbourhoods and will recruit and mentor one Team Leader (TL) for each. These 3,960 TLs will, in turn, lead a nationwide force of 39,600 Parent Associates (PAs).
Important Note on Geography: You do not need to reside within your geographic area of responsibility to be a DP, SVP, or AVP; you can live anywhere in Canada. However, it is ideal that the Team Leaders you recruit are located in or near the Neighbourhoods for which they are responsible. Furthermore, your initial task of signing up one Accelerator is not geographically restricted.
What does a typical work week look like? What are the day-to-day tasks?
Your work is designed to be flexible (3-6 hours/week) and follows a phased approach.
Phase 1: Your First Step: Your first and most important goal will be to sign up your one Accelerator. This involves identifying potential Accelerators and using the professional tools BIGShift Canada provides to guide them through the process.
Phase 2: Building & Mentoring Your Team: After your first step, your focus shifts to your main ongoing role: ensuring each member of your direct team achieves their A-Drive (Accelerator Drive) and M-Drive (Membership Drive) goals. Your activities will be centered on coaching your team to success through regular check-ins, strategizing, and sharing best practices.
The first step is to sign up one Accelerator. What does that involve? Do I have to find this person on my own?
While you are responsible for making the connection, you are not on your own. Your role is to be a connector, not a salesperson. The process involves identifying prospects (we provide lists to help you get started) and making an introduction using our professional tools. For example, you will be provided with business cards featuring a QR code that links to a short video explaining the Accelerator opportunity. You will have dedicated one-on-one coaching and a full suite of tools (websites, videos, a playbook) to support you.
After signing up an Accelerator, my main role is to recruit and mentor my team. Is this a sales or multi-level marketing (MLM) position?
No, this is not a sales or a multi-level marketing (MLM) position. It is a part-time leadership and mentorship role. Our model is different from an MLM because there is no cost or purchase requirement to join, the focus is on achieving finite goals (the A-Drive and M-Drive) rather than endless recruitment, and your compensation is a direct and transparent management commission.
What is "BIGShift Media"? Is that the company I will be working for?
Yes. When you join as a DP, SVP, or AVP, you are officially part of the BIGShift Media team. BIGShift Media is the marketing and community outreach company wholly owned by the parent organization, BIGShift Canada. Its mandate is to employ our nationwide team of part-time parents, create and execute the major campaigns that launch the BIGShift, and generate profits to be reinvested into the mission.
How much of the work involves being on the phone or computer versus meeting people in person?
For the DP, SVP, and AVP leadership roles, the work is designed to be almost entirely virtual and remote. Your initial task of signing up one Accelerator may involve in-person meetings, but it can also be completed entirely online. After that, your ongoing role of leading and mentoring your team is conducted remotely. The grassroots, face-to-face community outreach is primarily handled by your team of Team Leaders (TLs) and Parent Associates (PAs).
